Check on any of the below links to find information on the following:
What's in a name?

Good luck!  Don't forget to document where you get your information.  Happy Researching!

Listen and Understand

We're going to be checking out a new website.  It has a few different listening assignments for you to practice.  Make sure to do your best!  Practice makes perfect!  Listening Website

I'd also like you to check out this idiom website.  An idiom is a phrase that helps create a picture in your mind.  A lot of times they seem like funny expressions.  For example, your parents might say some like don't let the cat out of the bag, which really means, don't spoil the surprise or tell the secret.  Imagine a cat jumping out of a bag!  It's kind of like ruining a surprise or telling a secret.  Check out this IDIOM website.  Use the sentences to help!

Meaning Gradient

Words can go on a scale just like numbers!!!  We can use a "meaning" scale.  It's called Meaning Gradient.  For example,  Boiling to Hot to Warm to Cool to Cold to Freezing!!!  That's a meaning scale.  Use the following link to practice putting words on a meaning scale!  Meaning Gradient
